If you are looking for a sport that lets you express your freedom and live your life on your own terms, you have come to the right place. Inline skating lets you do just that. No matter what your style, you are bound to find a way to master it. It is one of the most popular sports in the world and it is increasing in popularity each year.
Though it was originally designed as a form of transport for children in the first place, its popularity has quickly spread to adults. It is a great workout and a fantastic way to explore your local area. If you want to add some spice to your life, you can certainly do so. There are many different styles of inline aggressiv skates to choose from, so you are sure to be able to find one that suits your taste. The following will discuss some of the more popular styles of inline skates, outlining some of the pros and the cons of each.
Traditional
This type of skate is probably the most popular one and it is the style depicted in most commercials and print media. It is called traditional because it was the original form of inline skating and it still remains one of the most basic and fundamental styles. It features two metal wheels, which roll along the ground, and a frame between them that connects them to the user's foot. This design provides the user with stability while allowing them to easily move forward.
Though it is a very basic and functional design, it is extremely popular as it is easy to use and cheap to buy. The only downside is that it is extremely limited in terms of how fast and how far it can go. If you are looking for a more adventurous sport, you may want to consider a specialized mountain bike or a track bike. These types of bikes allow for much greater speed and distance.
All-around
The all-around skate is a combination between traditional and racing styles. It features the two-wheel-stability of the traditional style, combined with the speed of the track bike. This makes it perfect for all-around use and it is designed for speed. It has long been considered the cream of the crop when it comes to agility and acceleration.
It is a wonderful sport for children and adults alike, as it combines the fun of riding a bike with the thrill of racing a vehicle. The all-around skate is often used to compete in races or to simply practice and hone your skills. It is also extremely popular among people who want to enjoy a faster lifestyle. Though it is an excellent choice, it is probably not for everyone, as it requires a lot of practice to become proficient at using it.
Racing
The racing skate was designed to race competitively. It features four wheels, two in the front and two in the back. This design provides the user with greater speed and maneuverability. It is perfect for any type of racing and it is commonly seen at motocross races, quarter- and half-mile runs, and any other kind of speed competition.
The only downside is that it is a very expensive design to purchase and it is also very heavy, which makes it harder to transport. Though it is a great tool for competition, it is probably not the best choice if you want to cruise around town or even go for a walk. This type of skate requires a lot of maintenance, as the constant friction between the wheels and the ground causes them to wear out quickly.
Stunt
The stunt skate was designed to allow the user to perform incredible stunts. It features large rubber tires, which provide cushioning and traction on hard surfaces such as ice or asphalt. It also has a high arch in the back, which provides stability when doing back flips or other types of acrobatic tricks. This design allows for greater angularity and it is perfect for people who want to push their limits.
The only downside is that these types of skates are quite expensive to purchase and it requires a lot of practice to master the tricks. It is also a very dangerous sport, as the user is prone to accidents if they do not master the proper technique. This type of skate will only cause you trouble if you are not careful. Though it is an amazing sport and it's popularity grows each year, it is definitely not for everyone.
InlineXC
If you want to try something different, you can look into the InlineXC, a combination of inline skating and mountain biking. It was designed with the avid mountain biker in mind. It features an oversized tire in the front, which provides stability while also acting as a front wheel. This makes it easier for the user to balance while biking and allows for greater speed and precision. It also has a slightly lower arch than a regular inline skate, which provides more stability while you are biking. This makes it easier for the user to keep their balance during difficult maneuvers.
Though it is still considered a form of competitive sport, the InlineXC has really taken off as a recreational activity. It has become popular among people who want to combine their love for biking with their hobby of skating. If you are looking for a new way to get around town, consider giving this type of device a try.
Responsible riding
If you are a parent, responsible riding is a term used when referring to safety while using a motorized vehicle. It is defined as the conscious decision-making involved in the design of a motorized vehicle, which places both the user and all passengers in a safer position. This type of behavior can be improved upon through education, good judgment, and experience. Though it is a very responsible attitude, it is not limited to car use. This type of behavior can be applied to all forms of motorized vehicles, including bikes and skates.
Parents should instill this type of behavior in their children from an early age. When riding a motorcycle or a skateboard, it is advisable to wear a helmet, a protective elbow shield, and high-visibility clothing. Make sure to check the local regulations regarding the use of these items. Additionally, parents should take the time to review the manual for their vehicle, which will educate them on how to operate it safely. Reviewing these documents does not take much time and it could save you and your family a lot of heartache. Always remember that safety comes first, especially when you are a kid. This is the best way to encourage your child to be safe while out on their bike or on the ice.

What Can the Stories of Resistance During WWII Teach Us Today?
In 1963 political thinker Hannah Arendt coined the term “Banality of Evil” to describe how evil can flourish when good people “do their job” or “follow orders” and others simply look away. Today, almost 80 years since the end of World War II, interest in the subject is as great as ever, both among scholars and in the world of literature and film-making.
The Intertops casino bonus explores several heart-wrenching films which were based on true people and real events that show the bravery of those who resisted the Nazis and, at great personal risk, stood up for what was right. Some of the best films include:
Resistance
Many people are familiar with the great French mime artist Marcel Marceau who dazzled audiences worldwide with his performances in pantomime. Few people are aware that Marceau's introduction to the “art of silence” came when, as a Jew and a member of the French Resistance, he led groups of Jewish orphans towards Switzerland, often performing for the frightened youngsters in mime in order to keep them quiet and calm.
Resistance focuses on Marceau but the storyline covers the terror and horrors of the Nazi occupation of France. Many of Marceau's resistance colleagues are caught, tortured and executed. There’s significant French collaboration with the occupying Nazi forces which endangers Marceau, the resistance fighters and the young children who they are trying to save. The film doesn’t minimize the role of The Butcher of Lyon, Klaus Barbie, who pursues the escaping Jews as diligently as any Nazi
When the Americans liberated France, Marceau went to work for the American army as a translator (he spoke fluent French, English and German) and as an entertainer for the American troops. American General George Patton said of Marceau, "incredible story... of one of those unique human beings that makes your sacrifices and your heroism completely worth it."
Defiance
Defiance tells the amazing true story of the Bielski brothers, Tuvia, Asael, Aron and Zus who, in 1941, fled the Nazi killing machine and escaped into the Naliboki forest where they encounter other Jews who had escaped. They establish a community of resistance fighters and over time, their group grows, with the young and strong sheltering the elderly, women and children.
As the years go by the group faces starvation and disease. The brothers split up for a time but regroup. Their focus remains on hindering the Nazi war effort whenever and wherever possible and, despite problems with supplies and the ability of such a large group to stay and move together, they manage to become a significant thorn in the side of the Germans in Belarus.
The film focuses on the struggles of the group during the first years of the war but in an epilogue, we learn that the group grew to 1200 Jews who established a school a nursery and a hospital in the forest. Three of the Bielski brothers survived and emigrated to the United States. They spoke little of their wartime experiences but today, descendants of the people that they saved numbers in the tens of thousands.
The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler
The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler is the film adaptation of a number of books written about a young woman who, at great risk to her own life, traveled into the Warsaw Ghetto, where many of Poland’s Jews had been herded and were living in appalling conditions, and smuggled out children. Sendler, posing as a nurse, managed to enter the ghetto daily and, on her way out, would be carrying a baby in a bag or pushing a wagon with children huddled underneath the blankets on top.
Sendler would drug the children to keep them quiet on the way out and then, from her house, would place them with families who agreed to shelter them until the war’s end. Sendler kept track of all of the children’s names and placements on slips of paper that she placed into a glass jar as she hoped that she would be able to reunite the families after the war.
Sendler was captured by the Nazis and tortured in the Gestapo jail but she didn’t give up any names of the children, the foster families or of her resistance colleagues. She was sentenced to be executed but the Resistance was able to smuggle her out of the jail and she spent the remainder of the war in hiding.
Weapons of the Spirit
The story of Le Chambon, a village in southern France, where the entire population banded together during the Second World War to save Jews, is told in Weapons of the Spirit. Le Chambon is a Protestant town in a largely Catholic area and the history of the persecutions that French Protestants suffered over the years may well have affected their willingness to defy the Nazis in their efforts to rescue fleeing Jews.
The 1989 Movie Field of Dreams Is Still a Classic Today
by Lewis Robinson
If there’s any game that is quintessential American, it’s baseball. It might have had its origins in Europe and Ireland, but it was the United States that made baseball the game it is today. Over 200 movies about baseball have been made. Kevin Costner has starred in three. His second, Field of Dreams, made in 1989, is a great movie about baseball that has withstood the test of time.
Field of Dreams Plot
Ray Kinsella, played by Costner, lives on a corn farm in Iowa. Kinsella is at a time in his life when he’s concerned about his legacy. He is reflecting on his troubled relationship with his late father and the game of baseball. One evening when he is walking through the cornfields, he sees a vision of "Shoeless" Joe Jackson, who died almost 40 years ago. Jackson tells Kinsella, “if you build it, they will come.”
Kinsella takes part of his farm to build a baseball diamond, risking his financial future. He shares his love of baseball with his daughter over the several months it takes to build the field. His family doubts his decision. Finally, Shoeless Joe returns with other players from the disgraced Black Sox team, accused of throwing the 1919 World Series. No one except Kinsella can see the players.
Kinsella goes on a road trip on which he meets up with many characters involved in baseball. Terrance Mann, played by James Earl Jones, is a recluse writer who agrees to attend one game. Mann had once wanted to play for the Dodgers, but it was an unfulfilled dream. During the game, Kinsella and Mann hear a voice that says, “go the distance.” They see a statistic on the scoreboard referring to Archie “Moonlight” Graham, a 1922 New York Giants player who didn’t even get to bat in the only game he played. They drive to Minnesota to learn more about Graham. Graham had died in 1972.
On the way back to Iowa, Mann and Kinsella pick up a hitchhiker, a young Archie Graham. They talk about their childhoods. Kinsella and his father drifted apart after Ray read one of Mann’s books. His father taunted Ray about having a criminal as a hero. Their relationship never healed.
When they get back to the farm, the bank is ready to foreclose. Graham joins the game, getting a chance to get to bat. Ray’s daughter falls off the bleachers. Graham steps off the field to save her, as he had been a doctor after his baseball career. He knows he can never go back, but he has no regrets. Old Doc Graham is played by Burt Lancaster in his final film role.
A Great Movie to Watch With The Family
On the surface, the movie is about baseball. Look beyond the leathered baseball gloves and ghosts to see a movie about parents and children. Ray didn’t reconcile with his father during his lifetime, but the baseball player ghosts gave him the opportunity to see his father as a young man. The parents you know aren’t the same people they once were. Ray was stuck because of his regrets, but his baseball field brought some reconciliation, not only in his own life, but in others. The lesson of the movie is to remember that you can change your future, but you may have to confront your past.
Field of Dreams was nominated for three Academy Awards, but it did not win any of them. Even so, in 2017 it was selected as an annual addition to the National Film Registry by the U.S. Library of Congress. AFI cited the film as the sixth best one in the fantasy genre in 2008.
