Love is a puzzle, or is it not? Is it really blind, as many say? Is it simply an emotional roller coaster with no real logic or sense behind it? Are we just hopelessly devoted to someone without any real reason?
It turns out that there may be some truth to the idea that love is blind. The famous Love is Blind show can teach us some things about love and relationships.
The Love is Blind show involves a group of men and women who are looking for love. They go on a series of "blind" dates, during which they cannot see each other. They can only communicate through an audio-only chat interface.
They go to the ' pods' where one can carry a notebook to jot down any questions they may want to ask their potential partner.
After a connection of some sort has been made, they are then given the opportunity to meet each other face-to-face, and they can decide if they want to get married or not.
Most couples at the meetup point usually say yes, but the reality dawns on them when they go to the outside world. They choose where to go for a couple's date for a few days to see if the connection is really true. It is then that they get to know the other person. Do they enjoy Everygame Poker? Do they love working too much? What are they not telling you?
Well, some of them break up, some grow deeper in love, some become unsure, and some stay the same. Those who come out stronger and deeper in love go ahead and get married, while those who feel like it won't work just say ' no' to forever more.
The love is Blind show has been both popular and criticized. It was popular because it gave people a new way to look at love. It was criticized because some felt it set unrealistic expectations for relationships.
Have you ever loved someone, but you cannot really pinpoint why? One of the things that the show teaches us is that love doesn't always make sense. We often think we need to have a logical reason for why we love someone, but that's not always the case. Sometimes, we just know that we love someone, even if we can't explain why.
We often think that love is all about finding someone with whom we have an emotional connection, but that's not always the case. Sometimes, love is based on physical attraction. We may be attracted to someone because of their looks, their body type, or even the way they smell, and so on. For instance, in Love is Blind Ssn 2, Mallory was in love with Sal in the pods; however, when she first met him, she did not really feel his physiologic features were that attractive.
While physical attraction is one element of love, it's not the only one. Love is often based on an emotional connection as well. We may feel drawn to someone because of how they make us feel. Many couples were deeply in love with each other in the pods and had never even seen each other's faces.
One of the things that the show teaches us is that love is often blind to imperfections. We may think that we need to find someone perfect before we can love them, but that's not the case! No one is perfect, so when we find someone we love, we may be able to overlook their imperfections. However, this is not to say that you should overlook major character flaws but that love can help us see past minor imperfections.
Iyanna and Jarrette are good examples of the same. Their love was not easy- Jarrette first proposed to Malory, who said no, then he was interested in Iyanna, but she was not too sure. Then, when they finally got together, Iyanna was finding it hard to cope with the late nights that Jarrette spent in nightclubs with his friends. However, she loved him and was willing to overlook this imperfection. Sadly, she couldn't hold it anymore and had to call it quits.
Trust and communication are two of the most important elements in any relationship, and the show teaches us that they are also important in love. Many of the couples who fell in love on the show did so because they were able to trust and communicate with each other.
So, is love really blind? Well, there is no easy answer. The show teaches us that love is often complex and doesn't always make sense. Everyday, there is something new to learn about love.

The 1967 film Wait Until Dark is an action-filled movie that centers around a doll filled with bags of heroin and the things that people are willing to do to get a hold of that doll. However, if Wait Until Dark were to be released today with the same plot, it would never be believable without a few serious tweaks, if not a complete rewrite. Keep reading to see what would happen if Wait Until Dark were set in modern times.
One of the first things that would need to be rewritten is the part where Lisa is able to get on board the flight with an old-fashioned doll that is stuffed with bags of heroin. While it was believable in 1967, it would never fly today. While dogs were first taught to sniff out bombs in 1974, dogs were not brought in to sniff out the presence of drugs in airports until 2008. If someone tried to smuggle a doll stuffed with heroin onto a flight, they would immediately be caught.
There have been instances, however, where dogs have mistakenly given signs that there were drugs in someone's luggage, a fact that the movie writers could use to their advantage, if they did not mind putting a bit of comedy in there. Lisa could take the doll and put it in her carry-on bag, along with some form of meat. That way, if the dog smelled heroin and Lisa had to open her bag, the dog's handler would see the meat and think it was a false alarm. Because of that, the worst that would happen to Lisa is that she might have to get rid of the meat. The only other thing she would need might be relays to block or warp the x-ray machines.
In the original film, Lisa had to hand the doll off to a man when she saw someone watching her after she reached her destination. If that movie were made in modern times, the man she handed the doll off to would not have just been able to slip away if Lisa was really being watched that closely. The man would have been taken away as well, and the writers would have to come up with another way to get the doll out of that airport.
The movie ended with a blind woman killing one of the men who wanted the heroin-filled doll by making the power go out so he could meet his fate via a toppled shelf. Depending on how long the woman was meant to have been living there, this is entirely feasible. A blind person can live on their own as long as the proper adjustments are made. If she had lived there long enough to remember the layout of her house, she could easily defeat the intruder in the same manner. She could also win by the addition of a seeing-eye dog, and instead of her having to battle the intruder, the dog could handle him instead. Also, she would not have to wait as long for the police to arrive if she had technology that allows a blind person to make calls and send texts, as that technology is accessible today. Literally the only way the intruder might win is if he was able to turn on a smartphone flashlight in the nick of time.
While Wait Until Dark is a brilliant movie and grips the audience with engaging storytelling and a wonderful cast of characters. However, if it is going to be remade for modern audiences, the story will have to be turned on its head.

The 2009 Disney movie Up takes the audience on a journey that they will remember long after the credits have rolled. The movie follows Carl, a man who has been working toward a dream of exploring the mysterious and breathtaking Paradise Falls.
The movie starts with a newsreel that is playing in a theater where a young Carl is on the edge of his seat as he watches his favorite explorer, Charles Muntz, head to South America in search of a mysterious bird near Paradise Falls with his canine companions. It is here that the famous phrase 'Adventure is Out There' is introduced to the audience watching the film, and it is the first clue just how much Carl values adventure.
Disney movies have a habit of making stories not turn out the way it is thought they will turn out, and this movie is no exception. Audiences see Carl meet Ellie and go on an entirely different adventure as they both try to get to Paradise Falls throughout the course of their life together. Unfortunately, they hit trouble along the way, including finding out that Ellie is unable to have a child and Ellie getting deathly ill just before they are supposed to finally make the journey to the falls.
This movie hits on a lot of important topics that are not usually addressed in Disney films, and most of them are touched on without any words exchanged on screen. Ellie's infertility and her resulting depression, while only portrayed for a short time, serve as a silent acknowledgement of the pain of people who suffer in silence from fertility issues and the resulting emotional and psychological turmoil. Showing a couple from the beginning of their lives to the end of one person's life, though it might just seem like everyday humdrum, shows the strength of their relationship as they endure hardship and having to put their dreams off together. Many couples do not have this experience, and they can learn a thing or two from this silent montage. Carl and Ellie have a lot of things happen to them, but they support one another through it and work as a team as they build their life together.
Up also shows the unfortunate reality of how merciless corporations can be when they are trying to obtain property from older people who live alone. Just because someone is older does not mean that they are senile or weak. For instance, take when Carl outsmarted the people who were waiting to take him to the retirement home. All he said was that he wanted to say goodbye to his house and they let him take the time he needed, not realizing that he was enacting his plan to release the balloons and take off.
When Carl eventually gets to Paradise Falls, along with Russell, a scout who he had previously ignored and ended up on his porch after the house took off into the sky, and Dug, a dog who can talk through a translator in his collar, they make an unexpected discovery in the form of Charles Muntz, still living and with a pack of faithful canine companions. It is here that Carl learns that it is not always good to meet your heroes, as Muntz's motives for finding the elusive bird, known as Kevin, to be self-serving and evil. Carl and Muntz must have had access to good exercise, diets and a heck of a mobilify supplement, because their fight would not have been nearly as gripping or action-filled between two average people in their same age group.
Up is a dynamic movie, chock full of lessons that every person should look for and learn from. It is the perfect package of story and teaching, fun for the whole family and should be considered a modern classic.
